The old....and the new.

I've been busy. I finally took pictures of some of my better work and am currently working on 4 paintings at the moment. I forgot how much I missed having paint-stained hands.

In other news: My mom is contemplating buying an electric kiln to teach art classes in the neighborhood. (Eeeeeeeeeeee!!!)

I love the fall.

I kept Jeff company today in Downtown Greenville's "Riverworks" Gallery, Greenville Tech's own multipurpose gallery. It's "First Fridays" and there is a German "oompa" band making noise outside. 35 bucks for all-you-can-eat brats and beer at High Cotton. Go Germany!

I met a deaf dog today. He was all kinds of awesome.

Lately I've been trying to sell the work I've carted around for years. I'm trying this new site called "Etsy"- www.etsy.com - CAUTION: Etsy is highly addictive. Enter site at your own risk.

So far I like it. I have a problem with wanting to buy too much on there though.
I'm working on my painting of my Nanny and Papa this weekend. A few more days and it should be done.
Then it's on to sculpture....

Why am I always so slow at posting??

I am getting my pictures together to apply for grad school. WHY oh WHY didn't I do all this before??
These were some of the last paintings of my college career and the pottery just came out of the wood kiln firing in Jacksonville. I still have about 12 more pots to pick up when I go back down there. Cross your fingers and hope for pretty glaze!

And I REALLY should have taken better pictures and posted these, oh, 3 years ago...

These are a few of the paintings I liked making in college. I don't have a picture of the finished painting of Nanny, but she is definitely my favorite. A close second is the finished painting of my family I did not get the privilege of knowing. I'm still curious about my Morrow roots.

I promise I'll post pictures of recent work as soon as I make more that I like. :D Kay?
